Effer knuckle boom crane service and repair

Bring your Effer crane to the shop at 906 West Gore St in Orlando, or call first and describe what it is doing.

We have been repairing knuckle boom cranes at 906 West Gore St since 1989, and we work on every make that comes through the door.

What comes in most

  • Hydraulic leaks and slow booms: cylinders resealed or rebuilt, hoses, valves and pumps
  • Radio remote faults: the transmitter, the receiver, the harness or the valve bank,

diagnosed properly instead of by replacing parts

  • Structural cracks around the base, the outriggers and the sub-frame
  • Boom wear: slide pads, wear pads, pins and bushings
  • Re-mounting a crane onto a newer chassis

Getting it looked at

Call (877) 697-6272 and describe what the crane is doing. Have the model and the serial number ready if you can, and send a photograph if the fault is visible. Most of the time we can tell you on the phone whether it is a part, a rebuild or a shop visit. The parts themselves are on the Effer crane parts page.

Need an Effer part?

Give us the crane model and serial number and the part number if you have it, or just describe the part. We will track it down and price it.

Looking for an Effer knuckle boom crane for sale?

We do not sell new Effer cranes. Used knuckle boom cranes and crane trucks, of several makes, are listed when we have them at drywallcranes.com. Stock changes every week, so call if you do not see what you need. Tell us what you lift, how high and how far out, and whether the truck comes with it, and we will tell you what fits.

Before you buy a used crane

We inspect and repair cranes for a living, so we look at a used unit the way a buyer should: the cylinders, the pins and bushings, the base and sub-frame welds, the remote and the truck under it. If you are buying a used Effer crane from someone else, we can look it over first.

The truck under the crane

Low engine speed, a failing PTO, a worn drivetrain or a soft frame all show up as a crane that will not do what it used to. We repair diesel trucks in the same shop, so a crane problem that turns out to be a truck problem gets fixed in one visit.
